VACANCY NOTICE #11-07

 

TITLE:                       Community Health Nurse, Regular Full-Time
DEPARTMENT:           Public Health, JHHS, Pueblo of Jemez
SALARY:                   DOQ
 
 
JOB SUMMARY:  Promotes and protects the health of populations using knowledge from nursing, social, and public health sciences.  Provides population-based care with the goals of promoting health and preventing disease and disability using the nursing process that includes the components of assessments, diagnosis, outcomes, identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation.  
 
QUALIFICATIONS: 
 
  • Bachelors of Science in Nursing with a NM licensure as a Registered Nurse required.
  • Three years direct experience specified in duties and responsibilities.
  • CPR certification.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and be insurable through the tribe’s insurance carrier.
  • Position subject to a motor vehicle and criminal background check.
 
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
 
  • Ability to use nursing judgment based on education and experience in determining what is appropriate or possible for a population or situation.
  • Knowledge of the six Standards of Practice and ten Standards of Professional Performance for Public Health Nursing.
  • Skills in interpersonal relationships and experience to enhance quality patient care.
  • Ability to work with people of all ages and various cultural backgrounds.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based interventions that address the needs of the community.
  • Ability to form partnerships with people, agencies, and numerous of other groups and institutions.
  • Ability to adhere to all compliance and confidential guidelines including HIPAA Compliance and Privacy Act.
