The pueblo of Jemez strives to develop a comprehensive Department of Education that meets the educational and development needs of all Tribal members from birth to adult age.  We recognize the need to establish high standards that provide the needed services and programs to ensure student success and high academic achievement. In addition, we strive to develop and implement culturally appropriate curriculums at all Jemez Tribal Schools so that they are inclusive of language, culture, traditions and tribal history.

To educate all tribal members in gaining life skills by providing educational services and opportunities for the children of today and tomorrow.
 
Mission
To continue strengthening, respecting and encouraging our traditional language and culture while building on the unique talents of each individual, to develop well-educated, knowledgeable, healthy and competent leaders for a stronger and healthier community.

GED
Classes held Tuesday and Thursday at 4pm and 6pm
Collaboration with the University of New Mexico Los Alamos
 

Adult Education
Assists adult community members in their educational pursuits
Provide access to career and technical education programs
 

Tutoring
Offered on site, within the classroom at Jemez Valley High School (JVHS), Jemez Valley Middle School (JVMS), San Diego Riverside Charter School (SDRCS), Jemez Day School (JDS), and Walatowa High Charter School (WHCS)
-50 students are seen per day across all sites
