TITLE: Family Services Coordinator, Regular Full-Time
DEPARTMENT: Head Start, Pueblo of Jemez
SALARY: $13.13-$16.42 Depending on qualifications
SUMMARY: Performs duties to implement and coordinate social services and parent activities, providing direct intervention, case management and support to families enrolled in the Early Childhood Program. Establishes mutually respectful partnerships with families to promote and support parent and community involvement in a manner that meets the Head Start Performance Standards.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Associates or Bachelors Degree preferred in a related field and a certificate in family services.
- Three or more years working with children, families and communities required.
- Towa speaker preferred.
- Must have current physical examination and tuberculosis test or obtain within 30 days of hire.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and insurable through the tribe’s insurance carrier.
- Position is subject to a criminal background and motor vehicle check.
OTHER KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Ability to work with wide range of constituencies, especially with parents and children in a courteous and professional manner.
- Knowledgeable of Early Childhood Development, Head Start, and/or familiarity with Head Start Performance Standards.
- Possess excellent oral and written communication skills, good personality and character.
- Knowledge of office skills and procedures.
- Skills in organizing and establishing priorities, ability to work as a team member.
- Ability to maintain and adhere to all compliance and confidentiality guidelines.
