VACANCY NOTICE #11-25

 
TITLE:                       Director, Regular Full-Time
DEPARTMENT:           Health & Human Services, Pueblo of Jemez
SALARY:                   Dependent on Qualifications
 
 
JOB SUMMARY:  Under the joint direction of the Pueblo of Jemez Governor and Jemez health Board, the Director is responsible for the comprehensive and integrated management of the Jemez Health and Human Services.
 
QUALIFICATIONS: 
  • Master’s Degree in Business or Public Administration or related field.
  • Ten years progressive experience in healthcare industry in an executive capacity.
  • Experience with financial and human resource management, development of and administration of budgets, responsibilities over clinical operations; and production of application for federal or other funding.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and be insurable with the tribe’s insurance carrier.
  • Position subject to a criminal background and motor vehicle background check.
 
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
  • Knowledge of the inter-relationships and interdependencies among various medical and administrative services and the programs within Native American communities.
  • Knowledge of accreditation and certification requirements.
  • Knowledge and/or experience with the provision of P.L. 93-638, Indian Self Determination and Education Assistance Act.
  • Knowledge of the principles and practices of management and fund accounting, finance, and business administration.  Skill in the development, preparation, and control budgets.
  • Ability to lead and organization with responsibilities over direct patient care. 
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with staff and the general public.
  • Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with individuals of varying social and cultural backgrounds and with co-workers at all levels.
  • Skills in leadership, supervising, training, and evaluating assigned staff.
  • Skill in analyzing problems, projecting consequences, identifying solutions, and implementing recommendation.
