VACANCY NOTICE #12-01

 
 
TITLE:                      Supervisory Pharmacist, Regular Full-Time
DEPARTMENT:          Health and Human Services, Pueblo of Jemez
SALARY:                   Negotiable (dependent upon qualifications)
 
 
 
SUMMARY:  Responsible for the provision of clinical pharmacy services to Jemez Health Center patients and providers ensuring that services meet or exceed community, State and Federal standards; supervises and manages all aspects of the Health Center pharmacy program.
 
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: 
 
  • Pharmacy degree from an approved pharmacy school.
  • Must have a current New Mexico licensure or eligibility for immediate licensure with a current DEA registration certificate.
  • Three or more years of clinical pharmacy and supervisory experience preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and insurable through the tribe’s insurance carrier.
  • Position is subject to a criminal background and motor vehicle check.
 
OTHER KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: 
 
  • Knowledge of pharmacy management and billing software applications.
  • Ability to make strong clinical decisions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and customer service ability.
  • Knowledge of third party billing for pharmacy.
  • Knowledge of HIS pharmacy practices and the Resource Patient Management System’s (RPMS) Pharmacy and Patient Care Component applications preferred.
  • Experience ordering drugs through the VA “prime vendor” contract preferred.
  • Ability to adhere to all compliance and confidentiality guidelines including HIPAA Compliance and the Privacy Act.
