TITLE: Transportation/Facility Coordinator, Regular Full-Time, Furlough
DEPARTMENT: Head Start, Pueblo of Jemez
SALARY: $13.13-$16.42 Depending on qualifications
SUMMARY: Responsible for the overall operation of the Head Start transportation program, ensure the safe and efficient transport of children between program activities, home, and on field trips. Assuring that the Head Start transportation services comply with local, state, and federal requirements.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED); and at least one year of school bus driving experience.
- Must have basic mechanical knowledge in order to handle routine maintenance of buses.
- Must have current physical examination and tuberculosis test or obtain within 30 days of hire.
- Current CDL and meet all state requirements applicable to a school bus driver.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and insurable through the tribe’s insurance carrier.
- Position is subject to a criminal background and motor vehicle check.
OTHER KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Ability to work with wide range of constituencies, especially with parents and children in a courteous and professional manner.
- Must have knowledge of rules and regulations related to Department of Transportation & Head Start regulations.
- Possess excellent oral and written communication skills, good personality and character.
- Skills in organizing and establishing priorities, ability to work as a team member.
- Ability to maintain and adhere to all compliance and confidentiality guidelines.
