The Pueblo of Jemez Department of Public Safety is comprised of two divisions: Law Enforcement (Pueblo of Jemez Police Department) and Emergency Medical Services (Pueblo of Jemez Emergence Medical Services).

Jemez Police Department is a BIA and State of New Mexico recognized law enforcement agency operating under the authority of New Mexico State Statutes and the Pueblo of Jemez. The Jemez Police Department is operated by the Pueblo of Jemez and provides law enforcement, criminal investigations and traffic safety services. The Pueblo of Jemez Police Department provides 24 hour response 365 days a year.

Jemez Emergency Medical Services is a certified ambulance service operating under the authority of the Public Regulatory Commission and the Pueblo of Jemez. The Public Regulatory Commission regulates all rates and tariffs. Jemez Pueblo Emergency Medical Services is operated by the Pueblo of Jemez. Jemez Pueblo Emergency Medical Services is staffed 24 hours a day, 356 days a year.
