National Nurses Week begins each year on May 6th and ends on May 12th, Florence Nightingale’s birthday. JHHS Kudos Committee conducts celebrations on these dates and months to recognize the many contributions that nurses make to the community and the team here at JHHS.

Nursing is a caring, compassionate profession as we know you not only perform tasks or provide services, you develop an empathy for the needs of others and a connection with all our patients.  Study after study has shown that when there are more nurses on the floor, patients fare better. To us, those differences alone show our incredible value to individual patients and to society. At around 3 million strong, nurses are the backbone of the U.S. healthcare industry, as well as its largest profession and are consistently ranked the most trusted profession in America year after year.

Thank you nurses, as you play an increasingly large role not just in providing care but in the administrative side of JHHS. We appreciate you!!!
