COVID-19 Resources and Information

Mission statement:
Jemez Health and Human Services (JHHS) upholds and supports compliance with the rules and regulations relating to the procedures established for billing state and federal government sponsored health programs as well as commercial third-party payers. The goal of the Compliance Program is to promote prevention, detection, and resolution of potential violations of the multitude of laws and regulation that affect the facility’s work.

Services offered:

  • Investigating fraud, waste, and abuse
  • Auditing to ensure that JHHS is abiding by legal requirements and internal policies
  • Assessing risks that can impact JHHS
  • Reviewing complaints from patients, clients, and visitors
  • Responding to patient and client Health Insurance Portability Accountability Act (HIPAA) concerns

Intent:

  • To mitigate risks and determine their causes
  • To ensure that JHHS employees are aware of regulations that apply to them
  • To provide an environment where employees feel free to report items of non-compliance without fear of retaliation
  • To ensure that protected health information (PHI) of patients and clients has the appropriate protection in order to maintain their privacy
